Thunderstorms can bring severe weather.

Be prepared for Severe Weather.
Thunderstorms are common throughout Southwestern Ontario. Thankfully practicing safety during these events can help reduce chances of damage to your property.
Severe thunderstorms can produce high winds, heavy rains, hail and lightning.
Storm Safety outside your home:
Inspect you roof regularly for missing or loose shingles.
Clean your gutters at least twice yearly.
Bring in or secure patio furniture, potted plants or anything that could become projectiles in high winds.
Trim trees near your property to reduce dead limbs from falling.
Storm Safety inside your home:
Keep a radio, flashlight and batteries handy.
Have an emergency preparedness kit nearby.
Designate a safe room for your family to take shelter, it should be an interior room without windows.
Use surge protectors on every outlet in case of lightning strikes.

On Wednesday, October 23, 2019 we will be offering two Continuing Education (C.E.) Classes for insurance professionals and property managers at the Hampton Inn. 725 Imperial Road N, Guelph ON, N1K 1X4.
Ethics: 8:30AM-11:30AM (2.5 management credits)
The premise for this ethics course is that although we may have solid ethical foundations and usually make rational ethical decisions, ethical lapses are likely to come when we are stressed, angry, pset, worried, or otherwise disengaged.
Each and every day w are faced with decisions that could cause harm to others or ourselves. Facing ethical decisions can be very difficult, especially when we make decisions that may seem correct at first, but we later find out wee not so great. As we explore what "Ethics" is, you will be challenged to become involved in hourly group activities. The group activities will help reinforce what has been learned, as well as the ability to better deal with ethical decision-making in our own lives.
Restorative Drying for Water Damage: 12:15PM-2:15PM (1.5 technical credits)
This course has been designed to provide a better understanding of the restorative drying process that takes place after a water damage loss occurs.
